On Tuesday 14th June 2016, the hardworking Room 10 and
Room 20 students gathered together and split into two mixed groups. Half of us
worked with Whaea Ata and made some marvellous stars out of ribbon. The other
half worked with Miss Jones and got to chill together to create some tremendous
koru art. It was a great way to spend the morning.
After break we went for a walk around the school checking out each class’s
fabulous Matariki work they had completed. There was some really impressive
displays and we loved seeing what everyone has learnt and how they decided to
present their learning, everyone was unique.
To finish the day we closed with a whole school assembly. (I think
we need to work on our singing of the Matariki song, but I’m sure we will be
better next year J).
We would like to thank Ma Cynthia for organising the day and to all
the teachers for all the hard work they put in to making these events possible.
We are really lucky to come to Clendon Park School.
